Ronald Singer

Representative for Michigan House District 13

Ronald A. Singer is running in a special election to the Michigan House of Representatives to represent District 13. He is on the ballot in the special general election on April 16, 2024. He advanced from the special Republican primary on January 30, 2024.

Ronald Singer, a Detroit native, has deep roots in Michigan's 13th State House District. From his formative years at St. Veronica Elementary School in East Detroit to Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods, Ronald's journey has been marked by a commitment to his community and country. His education was briefly interrupted when he served in the U.S. Army's Medical Corps, stationed in Aberdeen, MD, and Heidelberg, Germany.

Married to Irene Gladysz for 44 years, Ronald is a proud father of two daughters, Theresa and Allison, and a doting grandfather to six grandchildren split between California and Michigan. With a career spanning over four decades at Dominion Technologies Group in Roseville, MI, Ronald has excelled in mechanical engineering, design, and controls engineering.

 

Since the early 1990s, Ronald has been actively involved in politics, focusing on election integrity and ensuring fair representation for all. He has lent his expertise to numerous campaigns, worked tirelessly during elections, and served on various Republican committees, including the Macomb County Republican Committee, the (old) 9th District Republican Committee, and the Michigan State Committee. Ronald Singer brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to the people of Michigan's 13th State House District.

Singer says he is running because "right now it seems like we need some adult supervision in Lansing," mentioning energy policy as an area of focus.
